Holorun is a computer hardware and software startup founded in Costa Mesa, CA, currently based at UCI Beall Applied Innovation @COVE. We're here to transform the way we interact with technology by making useful tools we can use. Immersive technology has made remarkable strides, yet no solution has truly brought holographic displays into our everyday use. We aim to change that.

Technology ▾

How It Works

Our holographic display builds on the same principles as projector technology. But instead of projecting onto a screen or wall, we project onto microscopic particles suspended in mid-air. These particles are held in place using "optical tweezers" and other optical techniques. Using light to suspend them, draw them into real 3D and 2D shapes, and illuminate them to reveal objects and scenes.
